  Breeder's Description - 'Sweet Cindy99'
I started with SWT3 and crossed him to a nice Cindy99 girl. I have been working on this for some time now. She inherited the motivator from the SWT3 but the Cindy99 mom provides a spicy taste and the trippy quality to the high. The taste has a hint of the spicy cinnamon girl as well as some blueberry along with that lemon smell. This girl isn't low odor but she isn't very likely to mold indoors. -BOG

Veg Stage:

The SC99’s germination rate was 5/5. All of the seedlings where females (5/5). This plant grows very thick branched. It has good vigor and large leaves. Expect 6-7 weeks in veg. growth for a nice bush. I suggest topping this strain to optimize yield and get some nice side branches. All

So, after a careful sampling of my Sweet Cindy99 harvest, I am ready to pass on some info to potential growers of this strain. I only grew out 6 seeds so keep in mind that a lot more growing is required to make any real conclusions, but here are some comments that I feel may be helpful:

Shared physical traits-

The stems and branches are quite different between phenotypes and I will elaborate more on this further on. Leaves are large and fairly thin. The branches are flexible and the plants respond well to training. This is a very vigorous strain that does best under intense light [read: light hog]. If light levels are too low, the plants tend to frantically compete, so prune and train these beasts from the very start or they will own you.

Node spacing averaged three inches (Indica pheno) and six inches (Sativa pheno). I didn’t top the first generation and the yield and light penetration suffered as a result. I did top the second batch and they fared much better, with copious side branching. The plants reached sexual maturity 5 weeks from seed and showed identifiable pre-flowers at 3.5 – 4 weeks into the veg period.

During 12/12, the Indica phenos stretched an average of 30”. The Sativa went 45”! This stretch lasted for 3.5 weeks before they settled into serious flower production. Topping/training as mentioned earlier, is highly recommended. I flowered at 12” – 14” and ended up with 35”, 42” and 60” trees, so beware.

This strain showed heat stress when temps went above 80 F. and all three of the plants displayed varying degrees of leaf curling, a condition that permanently damaged the leaves and seemed to mimic a nutrient overdose, although this was not the case. My diagnosis was heat stress, due to the fact that the condition stopped when temps were brought below 80 F. Nonetheless, these issues were minor and didn’t adversely affect growth or the overall health of the plants.

This strain struggled in hydro initially, but recovered nicely once in flower.

Germination/Vegetation:
Germination was 6 for 6, and I had vigorous taproots within 48 hours using the paper towel method. The seedlings stretched a bunch in their first few days, so be sure to keep the light close or they will fall over.

The stems, although thin, were adequate to support growth initially and the root systems developed very quickly in the Rapid Rooter cubes with no problems. Sex ratio was 3 females - 3 males, and was apparent at 3 weeks for the males and 4 weeks for the females

At two weeks, the seedlings showed definite signs of nutrient deficiency so add a light nutrient mixture at a concentration of 250-300 ppm soon after roots are established. I noticed an immediate improvement in growth rate and plant health after increasing the food, but overall, these plants did poorly initially in my SWC setup and didn’t really take off until the move to the buckets.

Watch them closely during this period and pay particular attention to pH swings, as the Sativa phenos in particular were a bit touchy in this regard.

My veg mix is Highgrade’s Formula, and it worked very well with these ladies. [15ml/10ml/5ml]

Flowering:
Once in the buckets, I transitioned to flower with a 10/10/10 mix and switched to 5/10/15 at two weeks in. Two of the plants showed slight edge burn, prompting me to kick it down a notch. Light nutrients are the way to go with this strain, in my humble opinion. The plants really went nuts three weeks in, so be prepared to tie them down a bit if you have tight quarters.

Phenotypes:
There were two phenotypes, a Sativa and an Indica Dominant. Both were completely different in appearance, yield, smell and taste. The Sativa looked more like mom (Cinderella99), while the Indicas were more like dad (SWT #3).

Pheno #1:
The Indica pheno is very bushy, with lots of long branches and gigantic fan leaves. Leaf color was dark green on two and light green on one. Leaf shape was consistent among all three and the branches produced loads of tight and compact bud sites. Unfortunately, the buds were fairly small on my representatives and yield suffered as a result. Calyx-to-leaf ratio was average overall and required an extended appointment with the trimming scissors.

Odor was mild throughout and what little there was, smelled like overripe fruit. I didn’t need to run the Carbon Scrubber until the last two weeks.

Yield was decent, but I expected a little more than I ended up. Topping and more extensive training would have helped a bunch. My clones grew much better after topping and I recommend that you do the same to get the most out of these gals. The 2nd generation is definitely an improvement yield wise, but none of my plants this run were good enough for permanent motherhood.

Color: dark/light green leaves and calyxes. Heavy crystals/resin on buds.
Beauty: 6, kind of scraggly and all over the place, train them early. Buds look amazing.
Ease of Grow: 7, touchy at times in hydro, don’t overfeed and give them lots of light.
Smell: 4, very mild and fruity. Fresh cut pineapples, mango/papaya fragrance.
Yield: 6, average - 84g.

Smoke Report:
First off, this is the fruitiest bud I have ever smoked. The pineapple pheno just reeks. All I have to do to find my mate, is to open the jar for a few minutes and out of nowhere...

The nugs are very tight and completely saturated with trichomes. From an appearance standpoint, these are delicious looking buds that look very naughty. A small pea-sized nugget will keep me, and a companion smiling for a couple of hours.

All in the head with very smooth but expanding smoke that will catch even the pros and results in a brief coughing session. Not trippy in my experience, but silly pot for sure.

The taste is like fruit cocktail, with a tiny bit of spice mixed in. A very uplifting and fun experience. Nice going out on the town type buzz that keeps you laughing.

Severe cottonmouth and puffy eyes await you, should you over-indulge. Nice overall buzz, but only average in potency and length of stone. Girls really dig this stuff, which works out well ‘cause it is too sweet for me on a regular basis.

Potency: 7, gets the ladies pretty blasted...
Taste: 6, very sweet, in fact, too sweet for me.
High: 7, above average, good daytime socializing buzz.
Desirability: 8, not my cup of tea, but still a great strain.
Social Liability: 0, a good up high with no physical impairment.
Paranoia: 0, none.
Friend Maker: 8, Very social weed that offers a good time for all.

Pheno #2:
I love Sativas and this Sativa pheno was a beast. Massive fan leaves and a phenomenal growth rate combined to out grow my room with quickness. I had to tie her down by the second week of flower, and periodically throughout the entire grow. This was a very vigorous and expressive plant. We bonded, this plant and I.

Due to the precocious nature and the phenomenal growth rates, I spent a good ten minutes a day dealing with her spurts. Need to top this one and flower her early. 45” of stretch under a 600 watt Hortilux will leave you scrambling for more vertical space.

Normally, a plant this vigorous and motivated would be culled, but after losing my three Kahuna to Hermieville, I needed all the bud I could get. I am glad I kept her in the line-up, even though she was bitchy to the other plants and ended up with a slight mold problem.

I had mold issues that forced me to harvest the girls a good week early, but the mold was minimal and lower humidity would clear it up for sure. I had a few buds mold while curing in jars as well, so make sure to carefully dry your buds well to avoid the same fate.

Color: dark green with long, thin fingered leaves.
Beauty: 10, I’m a sucker for tall chicks with big thingies, huh-huh..
Ease of Grow: 7, don’t attempt to grow out the Sativa pheno unless you have a lot of headroom.
Smell: 2, practically odorless. Slightly spicy fragrance when smelled up-close.
Yield: 8, above average - 112g.

Smoke Report:
Very airy buds, but with more substance than you will typically find in a Sativa. Lots of orange hairs, but little in the way of visible resin unless you look very close.

A delicious tasting bud for sure, a combination of Sandal Wood incense and cinnamon. Nice earthy/spicy flavor that tingles in your nose when you exhale. Very smooth smoke that has a nice pleasant, old school after taste. The bud actually only smells when you start to break it up and smoke it, good stealth weed.

Very fast acting high that starts in your head and ‘visits’ other areas at random. Not a good driving pot or walking pot, for that matter. Great for conversation and relaxation, bring a couple of spliffs to a party and watch things get brighter in a hurry. The buzz is all Cinderella99, without the paranoia or trippiness.

Potency: 7, gets me pretty wasted...
Taste: 8, very nice, my favorite of the moment.
High: 8, superior, good day or night socializing smoke.
Desirability: 6, too much of a hassle to grow in my situation.
Social Liability: 5, a good up-tempo high with medium physical impairment.
Paranoia: 0, none.
Friend Maker: 8, Very fun, yet debilitating, weed that offers a good, long-lasting high.

Summary:
After drooling over BOG’s plants for the last 4 years, I finally did a grow to try some out. As I mentioned earlier, these seeds were sent to me free after winning POTW. They arrived in perfect condition a few days after BOG PM’d me and his professionalism and promptness were outstanding. I look forward to trying all of BOG's genetics someday.

The seeds germinated and grew out very quickly with only slight issues in early veg. Due to some touchiness; I would only run them in hydro if you are experienced. The pH sensitivity and heat issues make this an intermediate strain for hydro in my opinion. Soil is probably more forgiving.

The plants were very vigorous and grew/stretched phenomenally in flower. Topping should be done early and pruning is required on the Indica phenos to maintain decent light penetration. Make them behave or the little witches will fight each other over light.

The plants were happy with a mild veg mix and seemed happier with ppm's in the 700 – 800 range in flower.

The Indica phenos finished in 56 days and the Sativa could have gone 65.

Yield was about average for un-topped plants, and I believe it will go up substantially with second-generation clones that are optimized.

Clones rooted within 10 days aeroponically and looked pretty good. The phenos were fairly uniform in appearance and with the exception of the runt; they all grew at roughly the same rate.

Frankly, I just didn’t grow enough out to get a really slick pheno. I’m sure with a larger sampling I could pull a few jewels out of this hybrid.

Conclusion:
If you are looking for a very sweet, fruity tasting, uplifting buzz that will make you popular with the ladies, and late for work, then this is a good choice.
