I bought twelve seeds and got twelve free. I germed 11 out of twelve seeds for this grow. The young plants grew irregularly for about three weeks until starting to grow more normal. These plants took off. They had great hybrid vigor. I took 7 clones and all made it. They were very quick to root in the rockwool.

After about 35 days in veg (1000 watt MH), I switched them to 12/12 (1000 watt HPS). Of the original 11 plants from seed, I got 7 females. It's good I have a tall growroom. These are stretchers. The needed nutes after the initial stretch. I fed them strong doses of Age Old Bloom and some guano. They really eat up the N after the stretch. One of the originals from seed had an indica phenotype, but all others had a sativa character. The indica phenotype finished in 55 days -the others all finished from 63 to 67 days. One of the clones from a sativa that finished in 63 days finished in 56 days. I still don't get that, but it made it easier. They finally stopped stretching after four weeks! After that the buds filled in nicely giving me a nice yield and good supply.

Harvesting confused me as the trichromes went milky before 50 percent of the pistils turned red. I ended up harvesting all the plants at 100 percent milky trichromes and 50 percent amber pistils.

Dried by hanging for 8 days and than cured long in Mason Jars.

It has a strong orange smell and taste. I usually vaporize, so the taste rating may be different for me.

There are a lot of California Orange strains out there. This one has a very strong potency that leans on the couchlock side. It has enough head in it to function for about three hours and than you fall asleep. It also makes you laugh at anything. Other Cali-O strains are described as more up. I have cooked with this strain and it is pretty powerful. It is easy to overdose on the cooking...be careful!

I was very pleased with the grow and clone ease of this strain. I also really like the potency. I usually grow strains that have more of a indica/sative balance, but this was well worth the effort. It also yielded very nice and it is stable.

I'll grow it again because I have a lot of extra seeds from Hemcy. Thanks for this strain, Hemcy!
