  Breeder's Description - 'Spice'
She is bubbling with rapid growth and well endowed ear as her name suggests. Her pedigree has blossomed out of the union of a Hawaiian indica x Hawaiian sativa and is a stable hybrid that no curry eater can live without. Don't knock our Nice Spice until you have grown her to maturity. She is definitely better than the one that left; we have created our own Nice Spice. Expect yields of around 480-600 g/m2 for indoor growers, with tight nuggets. Expect an indoors harvest between 7-9 weeks, indoors. Outdoors in the northern hemisphere harvest by October, and in the southern hemisphere by May. Be ...continued

I started a pack of Spice and had horrible germ rates. Out of 16 seeds only 3 germed after trying every trick in the book to help them along. I chalk this up to just bad luck though, the seeds are at least 3 years old so its ok. I have ordered another pack to give it another try. Out of those three seeds two were females and one was a male.

The two ladies were similar in appearance through veg and did quite well. They had really nice looking light lime green leaves that looked very different from everything else around. I repotted twice and they ended up going into flower at about 12 inches in a two gallon pot.

In flower they screeched for about the first week and a half but then really started to flower quickly. After week two they were starting to put out a ton of white hairs and were really looking nice. This is a fast developing strain, after its initial stretch into several long branches the buds start to fill them in well until you have three or four good spears.

The smell on pheno 1 was sweet at first and then as it matured it got more like rotten fruit and kinda acidic and dieselish. Pheno 2 started out very bland with almost no smell at all. I had initially written this off but as it matured the smell improved quite a lot. When I rubbed the buds the resin smelled mild but like fresh fruit. Neither was very pungent or super resinous but both had a nice smell and structure.

Smoke was balanced not to indica not to sativa. The taste was not very pronounced as expected but did have slight undertones of the smell and both were very smooth on the taste buds.

Overall I am not blown out of the water with spice but in reality I only tried two plants and of those two neither was bad by any means. I picked up another pack and I am going to try it again someday. I think that one could get some really nice plants if you were able to grow out more plants............NW
