  Breeder's Description - 'Ice'
With Ice we have successfully attempted to bring quality and quantity together. Ice has ancestors of Afghani, a very special Skunk, Northern Light, and Shiva. An intense selection process of thousands of plants was used in finding this special mix. Ice flowers are richly covered in trychomes and have a dense consistency. Buds form along main branches and there is a high flower to leaf ratio. Fantastic for hydro and soil applications. The stone is heavy and the aroma is almost like fuel. Ice is a winner of the 1998 Cannabis Cup.

These are my observations of "Ice" from Nirvana seeds....

Plant size and formation
...500-600 mm high, about the same in width.. large leaves (one resembled more indica) very long stems on the leaves , keeping them from covering any bud sites , very fast grower , fills out to very well shaped

I had two distinct phenotypes:

The first was was more Sativa influenced and was a harder to contain in my small flower space. Would have done much better outside. Flowers were very large but the bottom 1/4 of the flower was strechy.

The second was more Indica influenced that took *very* well t

This Ice plant was the only one that survived until harvest. Planted 4 outside early Spring that were already establish for ~1 month. 2 were male, got mauled. One got munched on by rabbits.

I grew Ice from clone. IMO this strain was very sensitive to wind and nutes.
My problems with this plant grew so big that I had to cut her down on day 31 of bloom. She still produced a lot of resin and some nice buds.

Ice is one of my faves. It produces so many resin glands that the plant is completely covered. The high is nice and uplifting and will not turn you into a couch potato. Ice is good to smoke before doing something active like biking or hiking. The high creeps up on you after smoking ... you might en ...continued

Started out with 5 seeds, 100% germ rate!

Seedlings were vegged for about 6 weeks and then put into 12/12. In about the 4th or 5th week of Veg there was a strong odor though, so Carbon scrubbers had to be turned on at this point.

They were very easy to maintain in my DWC setup, very happy wi

This is my second Ice plant grown, the first was male. It was an extremely vigorous strain. I used Sams Choice soil with a 40% mix of perlite. During veg I used Miracle Grow AP 15-30-15. She was vegged with 100 watts of CF's for 5 weeks and 13" at which point she showed female pre fl

I thoroughly enjoyed this plant! I am re-growing it right now. Don't let my numbers fool you, I think I may have messed up somewhere with the hydro solution. It isn't the plant's fault, even though I wish there was no Ruderalis in the strain (causes early flowering), I wanted to veg my plant for a b ...continued

This was my first grow, I only germinated one Ice seed (along with a few other seeds of other strains). It sprouted and turned out to be female (my only one actually). I cared for this plant well because she was all I had left. I was on a slight time constraint so I only vegged for a little under 4 weeks. She started showing sex around a week into flower.

I used LST at the beginning of flower to try and mazimize yield, it worked extremely well! Many budsites formed, but they start to grow around mid-way into flowering. The crystals start coming up around week 5 in flowering, but they slowly form all over the plant and it looked wonderful! By the end of flowering the plant was absolutely covered in trichs and resin!

The pistils were still only around 40% red, but the trichomes were mostly cloudy and I harvested on day 55 of flower. She didn't smell much at all during flower, only when disturbed. She has a citrus-y, fruity smell, but it becomes more perfumy after harvest. She was a bit hard to handle with the nutes, the leaves would curl up when I ferted but she still showed signs of deficiencies, but it wasn't a big problem I used Fox Farms soil and ferts and they worked nicely. I ferted every watering, but this was only around once a week, then up to once every 4 days in late flowering.

I don't know the exact yield because I do'nt have a scale, but because of the LST she made many budsites and I think the yield was around 2.3 ounces total. The buds aren't dense at all though, quite fluffy but I don't mind this, they smoke extremely well! The smell, taste, and high are all superb and they're much better than the top notch stuff we buy here. I'd recommend this plant to anyone who likes theyr buds covered in trichs! Easy on the nutes though, and I'd recommend to use LST, this strain responds well to it. The high is more couchlock than I'd hoped for, but I still like it a lot. Puts you in a happy mood after just a couple of hits, then it slowly brings you down over an hour and it ends up making you a couch potato for the second hour.

First of all let me say this is the best Nirvana's strain I've grown; very good final quality and quite good stability.
I started with 10 seeds bought in Amsterdam , got 4 females. One was given to a friend and now is a wonderful mother plant used to make clones.
ICE is a strong,resistant and
