If you are into citrus-fruits then this is the plant for you. Very enjoyable plant to grow. Germination of 2 seeds without fuss. Growth rate during the veg cycle is somewhat rapid with the correct conditions. Within one week I had 8" seedlings. I tried to keep clear of using ferts and nutes until th ...continued

I have wanted to grow California Orange for several years. My desire stemmed from the breeders descriptions of the smell and taste. I love oranges! Let?s start this off by saying I was horribly disappointed. California Orange is without a doubt the most unstable, underpowered strain I have ever grown. I would grow bag seed before I grew Cali-O again.

Germination: 8/10 seeds germinated with 4/8 being female. They grew in veg very quickly, stretching to 26? in less than 30 days. This led me to believe they might be more sativa dominant.

Potency ? Cali-O is more potent than Mexi brick and most commercial, but not by much. This strain never really generated much in the way of trichs and even when they were 100% amber it was still mediocre at best.

Effect ? Mellow body high, doesn?t last very long and isn?t very powerful.

Yield per Plant ? We yielded 3.4 ounces off three plants. The buds were grown under 2200W of light and they were light and fluffy. They dried into crispy little wisps lacking any substance.

Overall Opinion: Don't waste your time with this strain. I grew out four females and none of them shared any characteristics other than their green color. It was a crap shoot at best and I went bust on all four plants. As you can see from the pictures, they varied so much in appearence it was impossible to tell which one was "True" Cali-O. This will be the last time I waste my money on DP genetics.

Wow! I had a good feeling that this classic strain would impress me, and it has! After two grows of California Orange, I can say that I will continue to grow this frosty, stinky strain in the future.
The seed itself is smaller in size and germinates quickly in a warm environment, usually pops a

This was a non priority strain in my garden for a few months, so it did not get the "usual" attention my ladies often receive.

I vegged only a week or 2 under a 400W MH in a soil mix consisting of heavy + light potting soil (thouroughly cleansed), blood + bone meal, bat and seabird guano, lime, p
