Breeder's Description - 'Power Plant' | | Power Plant (mostly Sativa) was developed by us in 1997 from new South African genetics. This strain has been inbred only, never hybridized. Very rich in THC. It is a strain with an enormous grow potential. Indoor as well as in a greenhouse the plants have an enormous yield. Indoors flowering starts as early as one week after turning back the light cycle to 12 hours. Outdoor, flowering starts late, but the plants ripen very fast. This variety is very uniform. Strong "up high", very soft smoke.
THC = 13.1%, CBD < 0.1%

| A fast growing mainly sativa with African origins. I'm on my fifth grow now with PP all from the same mother stock. I have found them to be very reliable in all stages of growth, but due to the vigour I would advise supplementing any nutes with Magnesium. I really notice the Mag def after the first ...continued

Power Plant hasn't been the easiest to grow compared to other plants in my garden but the end results have been fantastic.
Veg growth is quite rapid, but nute lockout is easily done. I found it hard to keep the leaves a uniform colour, but even after quite a beating it still flowered fi ...continued

| I grew Power Plant from seed (Dutch Passion, Standard). Germinated 3 had 1 female with hermy tendences in the first quarter of flowering. Later on I had no more trouble and she came along nicely.
I put the plants in bloom at a height of 7.5 inches.
The one female I had stopped growing at a f ...continued

| 3/3 germinated. 2 were hermies. We took clones when the plants were 30-40 cm. Grew them SOG-style when rooted. They grew from 10 to 40 cm the first two weeks in flowering. (see pic)
I didn't have any problems with nutes at all, gave them both 2-2-4 and 0-13-14 during flowering and they liked it. Flushed for a week. Had some heatburn due to ventilation problems the last two weeks, it affected the yield.
When dry the buds tasted a bit woody but smooth with a very uplifting high perfect for a party.
It should have been easier growing this since it seemed like a good beginners choice, but we had some trouble not getting the yields we wanted, next time we hope it will go easier.
We also noticed that the strain is sensitive to mites, compared to other strains in our garden.
Happy growing!

| Have been growing PP for almost 2.5 years now. Have found her to be quite a uniform short plant. It demands a lot of maintenance work to grow properly & watch out for magnesium lockouts which can have a hell of a difference on your final yields.
Produces rock hard buds you could probably smash ...continued
