Breeder's Description - 'Bahia Black Head' | | Her name may sound like a skin condition, but you would be wise not to cancel this date. She is, after all, a bushy Brazilian beauty eager to win hearts and minds by casting a narcotic spell. Her indica traits lend themselves to a mean body stone. Copious amounts of medium size buds that get quite fragrant during the final weeks of her 8 to 9-week photoperiod. Nice, earthy-hashy flavor. Easy to manage indoors but finishes fast outdoors, where she thrives in terms of production and mold & pest resistence.

| Soaked seeds overnight, planted straight into Miracle Grow Compost in 1gallon pots to weed out the weak seeds. 6 out of 8 have grown. Topped at the 3rd or 4th node depending on the plant. Very easy to grow. Used 400w HPS Gro-Lux lamp for all stages, was careful with watering, and used Miracle Grow A ...continued

| Bahia Black Head, a KC Brains Strain which contains Thai, Brazilian and KC606 mix. I was wondering where they got the name, but now have a complete understanding.
First, Bahia - In my research I found that there is a state in Brazil called Bahia. There are also wildflowers and grass named Bahia from this same region. These plants are strong and plentiful in Florida.
Black Head - Upon completion of flowering the buds of this plant begin to form what could only be described as little "black heads".
The Thai and Brazilian mix make Bahia Black Head a great indoor and outdoor plant. Producing over 150 grams per plant after topping at the 5th node. The average main cola was 14" long and 10" around. What I like to call my mini base ball bats!
My research on the KC606 didn't come up with much. I heard that KC Brains mixed a power plant and some superstrain of their own design to make KC606. I guess it's there little secret, but let me tell ya that they make these plants taste GOOD!
I used BOG soil mix which includes 1/3 perlite, self fert soil, 1 cup of bone and blood meal per cubic ft. of soil. Then FoxFarms organic ferts throughout flowering.
The flowering time was the hardest thing to deal with, taking 113 days to complete. Let me just say, well worth the wait!
Overall a great strain if you have the time, BIG Producer and great medical benefits. My back pain is non existent, and my ensomnia problems are problems no more!
This is defiantly a 1 hit wonder. Even for the most experienced smokers will find this smoke to hit the spot. Defiantly a physical/body buzz. The high leaves you stoney, but the taste keeps you going back for more.
Garden Information for this report Closet grow. 600 watt HPS Air cooled with a glass enclosed hood. Temperature controlled A/C keeps my temps below 77 at all times. Fans keep the air circulating. Only fed water throughout veg, then added fox farms Big Bloom and Tiger Bloom 1x per week. Watering was based on the finger test. (I put my finger into the soil and if it's dry I water:) |
