  Breeder's Description - 'Citral'
Genetics for this strain come from the Hindu Kush mountain region near the village district of Chitral. Citral produces a mellow herbal taste, very good yield and hard buds. For larger yeilds, grow relatively tall before changing the photo period. The aroma from the buds is fresh, almost like fabric softener. The buzz is an interesting cerebral experience despite its Indica heritage.

I've grown Nirvana's Citral a couple times now and I've been pleased with both grows, one soil, one hydro. The pics are of the hydro grow. Citral is a very productive and flavorful strain. They finish at around 60 days and produce dense resinous colas.

The most distinctive feature of Citral is th

This was my first grow and I just have to say I'm pretty happy with it. I started three seeds in 1, 5 l/4 liter pots and I grew them in those pots until they showed sex. 2/3 turned out to be males, so I transplanted that female to a 4 liter pot. I vegged the plants only for one month and they grew very slowly. In veg I used 82w of CFL. In flower I used 100w HPS lamp. In the beginning of the flowering I started to train that to SCROG and it was best way to do because I had really limited height for my plant. I should have vegged it longer to get bigger yield. Citral was very smelly, although I had a carbon scrubber to cut some odor away. Without carbon scrubber whole grow area would've smelled very interesting.

High is pretty nice, not too stoney.

Although it was my first experience of growing, I have had quite no problems. The plants have seemed since the beginning very strong and lush, they have had a fast increase but they remained very short and squat.

On four plants I have had 3 females, the flowering has begun approximately ten days

I germinated 3 of 3 seeds with success producing 1 Citral female (Citral pheno) and 2 males . Flower time ran 8.5 weeks (59 days). Yield totaled 2 ounces tokers The toke is rather light with a musky lemon flavor (like Sprite), a moderate expansion level and a nice happy mellow buzz. I can only say t ...continued
