  Breeder's Description - 'Durban Poison'
Durban Poison is a F1 cross of a Sativa strain from a secret garden located just outside Durban, South Africa and a potent, early Dutch Skunk. This strain grows tall with huge leaves. Long, tight buds have a sweet earthy flavour that has a hint of anise. Famous for its trippy up high!

Planted in regular soil, in the ground, outdoors, south UK. Fed only twice with Tomato food at the start of flowering, watered only 2 or 3 times throughout the whole season.

Genetically, the Nirvana version is a Durban Poison crossed with Skunk#1 but they don't make that clear. Kulu seeds is also

I started them and stressed them quite a bit but they still grew very well. Out of 2 surviving plants both were female. Unfortunately they turned hermie early on in flowering. They had much greater potential and would have been much more potent if they didn't get pollinated.

The plant is suppose

Not as tall and lanky as I expected, lot'sa skunk in these. Super sticky and sweet buds, hard and compact, but patterned like a sativa. Garden grew to ~20inches but I flowered a little earlier than normal. Bud Blaster also helped control the height. They seemed to like it on the dry side, and su ...continued

Hi Everyone,

This was my first grow, I chose to grow durban poison from Gypsy Nirvana.
I germinated all 10 beans easily with a jiffy greenhouse.
5 sprouts died from natural causees.
So, I started out with 5 plants, three ended up being male, so i had to sacrifice them. The two females i had l

100% germination. Got 2 nice females and 2 phenotypes. Both were quite easy to grow.

Pheno#1:
I heard this strain is a cross between durban poison and a Dutch Skunk. Well I think this was more on the skunky side than the other one.
This pheno came up quite unexpected. It was my smallest plant (planted later than the other ones) and didn't get very much attention until it started flowering.
Vegetative growth was good but nothing special. Large, light green, 7-fingered leaves which, after topping, turned into smaller 5-fingered leaves.
This pheno started flowering first. After 2 weeks it started turning purple. I was very surprised and it looked very nice throughout flowering. The leaves also turned into a darker green colour. Very good looking plant. The smell was very fruity.
This pheno also yielded best though it was the smallest. It had 4 long colas.
The smoke on this one is fabulous. Not super strong but still the best of all. I really loved the taste, especially after one month of curing. Best tasting strain I ever had.
This was in avery aspect the best of the 2 phenos

Pheno#2:
This pheno leaned more to the durban poison side, I think.
This pheno did best in vegative state. Fimmed it once. Light green leaves troughout the whole life of this plant.
Flowering was a little disapointing. It started flowring only a few days after the other one but looked like it was developing much slower. Actually the buds just weren't going to get that big. It were all small buds with not much crystals. This pheno also turned purple in late flowering.
The yield wasn't very big with all those little buds.
Smoke was almost as potent as the other pheno though it had less crystals.

I was very pleased with the results except for potency but that's not the most important thing for me.
