  Breeder's Description - 'Skunk Star'
Skunk Star is one of our most popular varieties. Growers always come back for it's consistency and big yields. The plants have a high calyx to leaf ratio and are very easy to manicure. They produce a soft smoke and intoxicating high. Perfect for beginners.

I am now working on my second grow of WWS Skunk Star. These are feminized seeds. Grew 5 plants on my first grow and got 1 hermie, 4 females.

Overall, Skunk Star is a rather easy plant to grow. They will definitely take a lot of abuse and keep on ticking. This was my first grow and I made many, ma

Nice strain! First grow for me.

SEEDLING:
All seeds but one successfully germinated using damp paper towel method. Six seeds rooted and began to grow. Started in small Jiffy cups for about a week. Some noticable stretching that was my fault, won't happen again. I was using my 430W HPS at this stage which would cause severe drying and potential burning if too close and would cause severe stretching if moved further away. I switched to 180W worth of flouro cool tubes for this stage. Different phenotypes already exhibiting respective behaviors in growth.

VEG:
Transferred into 2 gallon buckets leaving the jiffy cups around them, which looking back I think probably stunted some initial root growth in the veg stage. Still using the flouros for all of the veg stage. Used Soil Mix(30%Worm Castings,30%Perlite,40%Fox Farm). Lined walls of room with Mylar. Begin to fertilize with Earth Juice Grow formula once a week and used regular water or a worm casting tea mix for all other waterings. Growth began to pick up after about two weeks and they started to take off. After about 3 nodes were grown, I clipped 4 out of 5 plants using the FIM method. (Keep in mind that they started growing at slightly different rates so not all clippings took place at the same time). Sat back for a while and watered with same schedule and watched them grow. Clipped plants differently on second clip about 4 weeks into veg. Clipped some more than others. Will discuss results of that later. Transplanted into larger 5 gal buckets at about week 5 of veg. This is where I will introduce the two different flowering cases.

Flower 1:
Plant 1 and 4 started flowering at 6 weeks into veg in separate mylar lined closet under 430W HPS. These two were definitely the prize stars. They flourished in the closet and quickly filled out and nearly doubled in size within 2 weeks. Determined to be fully female at this point.

Flower 2:
Plant 2,3,5 and 6 were vegged for 1.5 more weeks under flouros then Plant 1 and 4 were brought out and all plants are under the 430W HPS and move on into the flowering stage...

FLOWER:
All plants begin to take off under the HPS and in their nice roomy buckets. Plants quickly double and more in size and exhibit flowering characteristics. Bought feminized seeds for extra money, and discovered our one male plant at this point. Plant two is quicly determined as male and removed, the rest are positively female. Began a watering schedule alternating watering between clean water, Earth Juice Bloom, and Guano tea at flowering point. Again a sit back and wait and watch the magic. Small buds start to grow all over and the plants consistently grow taller and fatter. Forced to move entire grow from a big room to a much smaller bathroom, which was lined with mylar as well, and ended up being a satisfactory grow area, but it was really hard to get to the plants in the back for maintenance. Lots of tieing up of branches towards later weeks in flower.(Used dental floss for tieing, worked great, try it). Here is a plant breakdown:

-P1: Clipped the most times during veg with FIM. Grew very fat, not so tall suggested more indica. Buds ended up very fat and sticky. Tastes berryish and smells and looks magnificent. Very heady high. Flowered for 13 weeks. Lower growth contributed highly to the end result of 3.75 oz from this plant.
-P2: Male...
-P3: Slow grower. Clipped twice. Very short, never exceeded 2 ft. Very sweet heavy taste. Very heady high. Although small and slow, but quality was good. Flowered for 8 weeks. Yielded 1.5oz.
-P4: Tallest, fastest growing plant. 6'5" in height(including bucket). Several large lower branches grew very fat buds, huge plant. Tastes the sweetest. Again, very heady high.(What I planned for). Flowered for 11 weeks. Yielded 3.65oz.
-P5: Not the biggest plant, but definitely the most chronic. The buds on this plant were completely covered at every edge with sweet gooey thc crystals. Very high quality. Stong skunky smell and taste, and a mind-blowing cerebral high. Damn I love this one. Had odd alternating growth up the stalk which ended up being an advantage for the conditions. Flowered for 11 weeks. Yielded 1.92oz.
-P6: Almost seemed to be a different strain. Grew very dense buds, and leaves looked different in shape and color. Just as crystally as the rest of the dankness. Sweet smell and taste. Heady high. Flowered for 13 weeks. Yielded 3.14oz.

I am thoroughly pleased with every aspect of the finished product from each plant. Each bud looked and smelled somewhat different from each plant, but all possess all the desirable qualities in bud, look great, smells great, and get you blazed for hours. All bud was throughly dried and cured for a month before tasting. I hope I didn't miss anything, and I hope this helps someone. I intend to grow again in the future, but not anytime soon. Thanks for checking this out.
