Breeder's Description - 'Island Sweet Skunk'
Mostly sativa. This Vancouver Island Sweet Skunk mama was grown on the Island for many years as a stabilized Sativa-Skunk cross. The ISS Stretches like crazy, up to 24" indoors and 60" come fall time outdoors. Sugary long buds with long, thick hairs, are sparse at first, but will fill as it elongates and begins to swell after the fifth week. The last two weeks will prodice a dramatic increase in bud density, don't cut early as the most thickening occurs during this finishing period. We've grown large plants indoors which need to be tied up by the 7th or 8th week due to the weight of the sticky ...continued

My grow partner (Matty Bong) and I (That Guy) purchased a pack of ten seeds from a local head shop/porn shop and started them indoors on May 3rd, 2004.

Out of the ten seeds, nine germinated. Each was planted in some high quality tropical soil in some small 4-5 inch square plastic pots and put und

Marc Emery sent me ten of these seeds, out of those I have popped three, and got one good female. I have nothing bad to say about this highly wanted sativa plant except, the smell when growing is strong!!! So keep the fresh carbon filters at hand.
I did not vegg very long as it does grow tall, around 2-3 weeks. I have tried pruning the top and it worked great if you like it bushy, however this is great for sog cause it grows one Central bud, so you could pack tons in a small space. I must stress that you grow with Ph balanced water, anything else is junk and you will see spots.
When flowering it shoots to the bulb, so watch that, do not vegg clones long, infact you can flower them as soon as they harden off. Like I said this stuff stinks when flowering, it has tons of resin and long white hairs that cure to a nice light orange, I would advise you to get this stuff, it is truely one of a KIND! Another thing that deserves mention is the price, these are some of the finest plants I have come across and cheap. When we smoke this stuff it makes the face sweat and it is strong, so get some soon, and thank you for peeping my Selection!

Average Yield per Plant1.00

Fertilization MethodMix of chemical and organic

I use a 250 watt metal halide in my vegg room. I clone with a simple dome and heat mat, and I have to say I have always had 100% with this strain, very easy to clone. For bloom I use a 400 watt HPS in a air-cooled hood with a Hortilux bulb.
My mix consist of Fox Farm Ph balanced organic soil, I like to add Perlite and Vermaculite to loosen this up more. I feed them Botanicare Pure Blend, and I plan to try this new Sweet product they came out with. I also flush with pure ph balanced water 2 weeks before harvest, and then with clearex 2-3 days before the cut.
