Breeder's Description - 'Citral'

Genetics for this strain come from the Hindu Kush mountain region near the village district of Chitral. Citral produces a mellow herbal taste, very good yield and hard buds. For larger yeilds, grow relatively tall before changing the photo period. The aroma from the buds is fresh, almost like fabric softener. The buzz is an interesting cerebral experience despite its Indica heritage.

I've grown Nirvana's Citral a couple times now and I've been pleased with both grows, one soil, one hydro. The pics are of the hydro grow. Citral is a very productive and flavorful strain. They finish at around 60 days and produce dense resinous colas.

This was my first grow and I just have to say I'm pretty happy with it. I started three seeds in 1, 5 l/4 liter pots and I grew them in those pots until they showed sex. 2/3 turned out to be males, so I transplanted that female to a 4 liter pot. Although it was my first experience of growing, I have had quite no problems. The plants have seemed since the beginning very strong and lush, they have had a fast increase but they remained very short and squat.

I germinated 3 of 3 seeds with success producing 1 Citral female (Citral pheno) and 2 males . Flower time ran 8.5 weeks (59 days).
