Breeder's Description - 'Mazar' | | 2nd price "High Times Cup" 1999 2nd price "Highlife Cup" 2002
This is an upgraded strain of our valued former Afghan/Skunk. We improved the variety in 1997. The taste is softer than before and we managed to improve on yield. The Afghani (Mazar-i-Shariff) part is a very short Christmas tree-like plant, 100% Indica and very resinous. The F1-cross with Skunk #1 gives the variety a bigger yield and better taste. Very good "up" high. As both parents are very consistent, the offspring are very consistent too.
THC = 19.5%, CBD < 0.1%

| This grow was very healthy considering it was my first time. The plants grew vigorously in veg and in flower, took over my space in no time but this was due to lack of knowledge on my part. I left them to veg for too long. As they were from seed I vegged for almost 2 months from sowing. Ended up wit ...continued

Grower Report - imagine on September 6, 2003, 3:52 am
| I ended up with only two females out of 5 plants. Each of the females seemed to be a different phenotype. One was extremely large, bushy and yielded a lot. The other was smaller, buds spaced out further apart and lankier. The one phenotype's high is average, fairly potent, not very heady and is OK. ...continued

| I started out with 20 feminised seeds, from those i chose the best 6 plants to continue working with... ALL of them were pretty varied in growth (it is an indica/sativa mix, Mazar-e-sharrif X Skunk #1) so this was expected. From the 6 chosen plants 3 were very indica-ish & had a major hash & Skunk ...continued

| The seeds were bought from Dutch Passion's store in Amsterdam, (duh) Netherlands.
The individual feminized Mazar's genetics, while a little varied, all produced excellent results. Most plants were around 3-4 feet in height at harvest and plant shapes were all different. Biggest was 5 foot and bus ...continued

Grower Report - matteosister on April 4, 2005, 5:29 am
| this strain is really particular, not very easy to grow, because of its high vulnerability to ph-change, water shortage or wrong feeding... but the plant look really nice. The flowers turn to pink/purple in the last month, and they become covered with resin really soon. It's not easy, but it wort ...continued

| All that I have to say is thank you Dutch Passion!
Germination: I started out with a 10 pack of standard M/F seeds from DP. I germinated all 10 seeds using the wet paper towel method. All 10 seeds popped within 36 hours of starting germination.
Veg Cycle: I then placed all 10 seedlings into 3 gallon pots filled with Pro-Mix soil and a very weak mix of food and water just to moisten the soil. I then started the veg cycle of which consisted of 18 hrs of light and 6 hours of darkness. after about a week and a half I started to feed the plants with Pure Blend Pro Veg at half strength. At the start of veg the plants grew very slowly for about 2 and a half weeks, then they took right off so be patient. In all I vegged the plants for 4 weeks rotating feeding and watering every 4 days.
Bloom Cycle: After 4 weeks of Veg I flipped the lights to 12/12, Within 3-6 days of flipping the lights sex was already showing. I ended up getting 7 beutiful females. I then started feeding them Pure Blend Pro Bloom again rotating feeding & watering every 4 days. I kept all 7 beuties in bloom for 62 days. Again bloom cycle started out really slow but be patient because the last 2 weeks of bloom The plants took right off again. And I also added liquid Bat Guano the last 3 weeks of bloom. I noticed a big difference in growth when I started to add the bat guano. All of the buds started becoming really compact.
Smoke Report: This Bud is amazing, Once I chopped the plants I of course let the buds dry and then I placed the bud into mason jars to cure. Well I cured for only 3 weeks and the bud turned out to be amazing. I was looking for a narcotic knock you over type stone, And I have definetly found it. I recommend this strain to anybody that is growing for medicinal purposes. Actually I recommend it to anybody that likes to smoke.
Conclusion: The grow was some what of an easy grow but sometimes you really had to be patient. If you don't have patience I wouldn't recommend this plant for you. The plants is also very picky when it comes to feeding. But trust me you will not be disappointed with your end product.
Garden Information for this report 400w HPS light Pro Mix Soil 3 gallon buckets Pure Blend Pro Veg. Pure Blend Pro Bloom. Liquid Bat Guano (Last 3 weeks in bloom) 4' X 4' closet |
