Breeder's Description - 'Mazar' | | 2nd price "High Times Cup" 1999 2nd price "Highlife Cup" 2002
This is an upgraded strain of our valued former Afghan/Skunk. We improved the variety in 1997. The taste is softer than before and we managed to improve on yield. The Afghani (Mazar-i-Shariff) part is a very short Christmas tree-like plant, 100% Indica and very resinous. The F1-cross with Skunk #1 gives the variety a bigger yield and better taste. Very good "up" high. As both parents are very consistent, the offspring are very consistent too.
THC = 19.5%, CBD < 0.1%

| This grow was very healthy considering it was my first time. The plants grew vigorously in veg and in flower, took over my space in no time but this was due to lack of knowledge on my part. I left them to veg for too long. As they were from seed I vegged for almost 2 months from sowing. Ended up wit ...continued

Grower Report - imagine on September 6, 2003, 3:52 am
| I ended up with only two females out of 5 plants. Each of the females seemed to be a different phenotype. One was extremely large, bushy and yielded a lot. The other was smaller, buds spaced out further apart and lankier. The one phenotype's high is average, fairly potent, not very heady and is OK. ...continued

| I started out with 20 feminised seeds, from those i chose the best 6 plants to continue working with... ALL of them were pretty varied in growth (it is an indica/sativa mix, Mazar-e-sharrif X Skunk #1) so this was expected. From the 6 chosen plants 3 were very indica-ish & had a major hash & Skunk ...continued

| The seeds were bought from Dutch Passion's store in Amsterdam, (duh) Netherlands.
The individual feminized Mazar's genetics, while a little varied, all produced excellent results. Most plants were around 3-4 feet in height at harvest and plant shapes were all different. Biggest was 5 foot and bus ...continued

Grower Report - matteosister on April 4, 2005, 5:29 am
| this strain is really particular, not very easy to grow, because of its high vulnerability to ph-change, water shortage or wrong feeding... but the plant look really nice. The flowers turn to pink/purple in the last month, and they become covered with resin really soon. It's not easy, but it wort ...continued

| Bought a pack of 10 DP's Mazar seeds FEMINIZED. I had some hermaphrodite and males issues so I ended up with 1 plant.
She was veg for 1 month and flowerer for 65-70 days. She stay short, about 1.10 metre when finished with huge colas and many branches! Really liked that because I didn't need to top her. She had about 12 top nice sized top colas. I love these genetics.
I feed her with Bio-Bizz ferts that she loved them, but has some N deficiences problems, so she likes food a lot. My suggest is to give her 2 basic things (in all mj plants): - Big pot size... she loves to take her roots everywere - Air ... when I gave her fresh air from outside she repay me with growing & budding like hell!
Now for smoking... The buds was cured for 30+ days, she smells great like pepper something. Curing gives her a very nice smooth smoke, so let her take time to cure properly! The stone is very couchlock, top colas was ''smoke and stay home'' style with a lot of energy in your body to make you cleaning your house for ages. With friends we had a realaxed stay home again high, with a lot of talking and lauging for 3+ hours! Finnaly I think it was a strong strain for me & my fellows. 1 joint and two people were dead! All through not my favorite strain because of strong couchlock high, but sure I will grow her for cold winters. Peace
Garden Information for this report She was in soil with a 400 Watt HPS Solarmax and Bio-Bizz ferts and about a normal dose (2-3ml) every 10 days. I watered about every 4-5 days (about 1.5 lt) at veg and every 3-4 days (about 2lt) at flowering. Lighting cycle at veg: 18/6 Lighting cycle at flo: 12/12 |
